Safe Families for Children – Connecticut began in 2019 in the Danbury area and now serves the entire state. We are a volunteer movement that provides hope and support to families in our local community.

We realize that Safe Families is not like any other organization in Connecticut. We offer long lasting natural relationships to families facing isolation, while parents retain custody of their children. Families we support may struggle with: medical crises, homelessness, unemployment, lack of childcare, domestic violence, recovery, substance use disorder, mental health, or hospitalization. Safe Families CT steps into the crisis and creates extended family–like supports through a community of devoted volunteers who are motivated by faith to keep children safe and keep families intact.
